Default PBS sucks

Figured the headline would get some clicks....but seriously, it sucks.

Question for the gallery, and full disclosure, this month I was the first guy below the g line. 6 people above me bid reserve, but as the first guy below the line I still got reserve. I quit counting at about 7 below me that got lines. Wtf. I didn't even bid a reserve line at all. My last bid group had 34 trips available for pbs to choose from too.

Do have a legit complaint? I don't want to complain just to complain, but with a carry over trip giving me 11 hours credit to start the month anyway, now I have to try to pick up to make that trip not a waste of time.

What say everyone?

I like PBS. Been using it for 20 years.

That being said; I feel your pain. There's not one of us that hasn't screwed up a bid. Chalk it up as a learning experience is the best you can do.

File a dispute. They'll tell you exactly why you got what you got and why you didn't get a line.

Was your last bid group a no fail? Do you have any GDOs or vacation that limits your line?

I wouldn't even know what to learn from this experience.

My last bid went into completion mode and I guessed failed every time, even with 34 trips in the pool, which seems suspect. Then pbs auto created a reserve bid. The jerk didn't even ask for weekends off.

No vacation or gdos either.

How does one file a dispute? Standard PDR process or is there a separate form or link?

CCS, PBS, drop down menu on upper right corner. I filed disputes a couple of times just to learn how it was working. Many times the Waive commands are involved. Waiving 2 days off between blocks or 30 hours in domicile, etc gives PBS more flexibility in assigning those 34 trips.

Did you actually look at those 34 trips? If they were all day over the same 8 days for instance, a legal line couldn't be built. Simplified explanation butnif you look you can usually figure it out.

Did the folks below you have vacation, training, base trade days, mil leave etc?

You were below the g line, filing a dispute won't change anything. Did you waive the restrictions of 24 off in 7 and lower the default of 2 days off between work blocks to either 1 or 0 in your last big group?

Did that. Regret it still. Worked 90hrs 15 days in a row with my 30hr reset in between trips and/or long overnight.

Just looked. Looks like PBS had options and failed me. I'm going to file a dispute.
