Scope and talk about scope are simply a distraction:

First a quote from the Oct. 10th MEC update:

The polling results make it clear that pilot support for the current MEC and LEC leadership and Negotiating team is at a historical high as we approach opening negotiations for the UPA. Polling data also shows high levels of cohesion across the pilot group regarding direction and priorities for the next contract.
and then a quote from an email I received from Capt. Insler in response to a question about people getting worked up over Scope:

Good Morning Joe-

Thanks for the note and your support... They don’t make mistakes by casually dropping info like that. They are trying to soften up a segment of our group. I had told them that it’s not up for discussion previously. It’s something they really want, much in the way I want a pony.

Case in point….For several years now, I’ve tried to “convince” my wife that we need a convertible Bentley. I’ve told her how good it would look parked in the driveway, how it would increase our property value, how reliable they are and how, in the grand scheme of life, we’ll save money in the long run …..and that I really just want one… instead of my 20 year old Volvo.

Every time she answers with a smile, “That’s nice, dear.”

“That’s nice, dear” is exactly what I told the Company.

There are many people both outside, and internally who wish to do us harm. However, rest assured, no one in my administration will entertain this type of discussion.

Regards,

Todd
Enough kvetching already

Let's see.... you are doing a great job of spewing very little except annoying others. You definitely aren't "Allegis," or the little airline which didn't "Avolar."

Yep after less than 10 posts, other writers will ignore you.

Probably not a good idea to publicly post a private email on here.

That response is fantasist from the rep. Great full other see the pony show and are smart enough to see it's dangers to our careers

Sunvox, probably too late now but you should delete your last post. You should know better.

Obviously I disagree. Nothing in that post is not already in the public domain. You can find the same information in public MEC updates.

The "secret squirrel" crap is ridiculous. Light is the best disinfectant. Kirby's RJ talk is a head fake, and that is important for people to know and understand, and what I am attempting to inculcate. When I say such no one has cause to think twice. When the MEC says it, folks should pay attention, but somehow the message is not getting out.

What needs to be deleted is all the public handwringing over scope. It is proof for management types that a little one liner can unsettle the masses.

Did you ask Todd if it was ok for you to post his private email reply to you on a forum like this? If you can find the same info in the MEC updates maybe you should have quoted the update instead of copying and pasting Todd's email.

Folks here have already spoke about the RJ crap possibly being a head fake. Some of us had a convo last week about Kirby really wanting some relaxation of reserve rules.

I think your copying and pasting his response was more you you trying to let everyone know that you've had a personal two way comm with the Chair.
