Clown show it def is...it was over 10 months since CJO to class offer and several guys I personally know to include the one typing this reply has taken offers to other carriers. No communication from the company regarding updates until the email from Sandra Strickland and it was worded very harsh for a class offer with the following quote...."Keep in mind we have large numbers to meet and are making very little to no exceptions to pushing to a later class." Really!!! After we have been waiting for nearly a year with no word! Bad impression from the trailer park folks.

I know people who waited 5 years for a class date.
Things happen. Simple, Wait for class, or don't.

It’s not the wait that ticked a lot of poolies off, it’s the back and forth. Told May class, then expect June, then no classes until Sep but might add some in August, then no it wont be until Nov, then February, then 250 pilots in nov /dec, then 39 new hires were actually hired in Dec. buying 40 airbuses and 50 767’s and hiring 1200 pilots. If you actually listened to it your head would spin off.

It is what it is. Best to ignore anything you are told until it actually happens. I wouldnt even trust a class date email from UAL. On the 1st day of indoc is when the wait is over. If I had a CJO from UAL I would keep my other apps up to date because it might be a long wait until a class date, then again it might not be, NO ONE REALLY KNOWS....not even the UAL hiring folks.

funny that word CONDITIONAL on the front of job offer........

I had several friends that were hired and put in the pool at North West. After the Delta merge the pool was flushed and all poolies were told that they needed to not only re interview with DL but reapply too:confused:.

Good luck at AA.

Helpful career hint for everybody in the pool: don't trust UAL, or any other airline, even once you are on the property.

There are currently pilots on our seniority list that were furloughed from indoc.

Had a friend furloughed in Indic while at AA. He now work for UAL. You never know how things are going to turn out.

Exactly.

Your FO today could be the CP interviewing you at the next gig.

It’s so much more than new hire numbers at play here. The proof is there just go look at the quarterly reports about growth, 3-4%, look at the beating our stock has taken due to growing faster than DL, AA, SW. somehow we are not cancellling flights due to lack of Crew so that tells me that United is getting very good efficiency out of its crews.

Shack.

All one needs to do is go to united.com > investor relations > investor updates

and read a few of the reports.

We've been shrinking regional ASMs while growing mainline ASMs for several years. This year's forecast is for 3.5% ASM growth in spite of shrinking regional capacity every quarter this year.
