FYI to anyone jumpseating on Air Canada/Westjet...
There is a Canadian tax that is collected when you book. Around $65, regardless of whether you do the ID Travel route, or use the employee 800 number. I specifically asked about the jumpseat and was told it’s collected regardless.
Commuting from Canada must suck.

Once you list on myidtravel you can check in on line or with the air canada app (within 24hrs). It will issue you an electronic boarding pass to get through security. Or you can just check in at the counter. You cannot sit in the actual jump seat. The employees are pretty great, they will frequently put me in first class if there are open seats. Also, I think it’s only about $42, not $65.
