The meeting minutes that Barton wouldn’t release?

Just asking the question and stating observation. Both sides are pretty viceral in their opinions so it’s hard to know what’s what.

Ain’t that the truth?!? I personally went back and forth on this a few times. OC mafia concept just bugs me and I truthfully wanted to vote to spite them. But the whole nonsense of Barton making it seem like he was the only one to save us from scope relief really pushed me over the edge. It’s that concept when everyone else is the A hole, mostly likely it is actually you that is the A hole. Either way, both sides came off looking really pathetic to me and I’m hoping my email inbox will recover from the abuse it’s taken from this recall.

Unfortunately, this behavior from the two factions is more than a decade old; it's been quiet for a while but obviously flared up once again. As I stated earlier, both sides suck. I don't know which side is less wrong and I don't care to follow the whole soap opera.

I remember JB at union meetings in DEN back in 2003. Thousands of us Jr pilots were being furloughed and the only thing he cared about was himself. I remember thinking that he was a gigantic d#%k. I guess he hasn’t changed much over the years.

Sure would be nice if ALPA actually acted like a union right now. This could be a win/win if there was some actual leadership instead of just politicians....

Have a feeling that the MEC will put out something, to move on from this fiasco. First thing was to clean out the cancer, JB! The MEC has been functioning just fine the last few years: New TA, Delta pay match, all grievances settled, contract improvements every year instead of silly full SEC 6 negotiations. So not sure where you think ALPA is not acting like a union. We are doing just that by cleaning house at the local level.

Whole process was embarrassing and for those of you who aren't aware, the political BS that is ALPA brings out lobbying and wheeler dealing on a meeting by meeting basis. If JB did any of the aforementioned things during an election, he would not be the first and most certainly won't be the last. Hope the next LEC 57 Captain Rep is content with sitting in a corner and doing what he's told.
I get what you're saying 757driver, but the evidence was given not only by testimony from involved parties, but also a transcript of text message exchanges between the LEC officers. We can't get inside of JB's head to know precisely what his motives were, but his behavior and actions after this blew up (going to the company, really?) were enough for me. And turning his recall into a scope issue was really weird.

I happen to like what we have going on at the MEC level and I was livid upon hearing what almost happened. Especially the part about who he took on as allies.
