Don’t forget that Donner Pass can still be open but have chain requirements. Might put some extra time into certain days.

Chain ‘em up, chain ‘em up. I grew up in Kansas City. My dad taught me and showed me how to put on chains. Maximum 40 mph. Just like traffic in a big city. Allow for it.

Great museum at Downtown Transworld! TWA Super Connie in there.

I remember one traveling event over Donner one winter in the early 90’s. Around 1AM and it snowed so hard that we had to stop every quarter mile to shove the snow off the windshield as the wipers couldn’t keep up. Max speed was about 12.

Back in June I did my first trip three weeks after my QLOE, and they scheduled my second shortly thereafter. Suspect the wait is shorter as the pool must be smaller by now.

mm my guess is a bit longer, about 8 months
