Congrats, you just gave 95% of the pilots here a pay cut. Keep you two cents to yourself.
Pay in the airlines has historically been related to seat numbers, range, and complexity. |

The 764 is more like a 777 than a 763 based on what I was told. So, the pilots that get the 764 have a pay bump over the other bases. Any 756 guys care to chime in. My 2 cents. Lee |

Same but the aircraft are limited to Ops out of specific bases due to currency requirements dealing with the cockpit displays, etc...

You are partially correct. We all enjoy a bump in our blended rate because of the 764, but EWR does 95+% of the 764 flying. As of now, I do not think that there is any scheduled 764 flying out of any other base. Not completely sure about that though??? So if you’re not based in EWR, you will dequal eventually before your recurrent training.

I’m not sure how I gave 95% of our pilots a pay cut? What I posted is based on a decent pay raise across the scale. All Guppy and Fifi pilots will enjoy a pay raise from two standpoints. There will not be a 700/A319 difference and for Guppy pilots they will have a blended pay increase because of the difference between the normal Guppy and MAX10. All 757 pilots will get a pay raise and actually have a better blended rate because all 767s will pay higher. The 767-400 doesn’t belong at the top pay band!!! Also, only about the top 10-15% of the 756 pilots in EWR actually have a shot at flying it.
Pay in the airlines has historically been related to seat numbers, range, and complexity. Wrong the 763 needs to come up. In your example: 787 now pays less than the 777 772 now pays less than the 773 This alone cuts they pay of all wide body pilots commensurate to what they’re making today. That “decent” raise just got watered down and is now worth less. 764 now pays less plus the 756 blended rate goes down, all soft time pays less. Again, your “decent raise” just got watered down. Two steps forward, one back. Bus and guppy blended rate goes down because the bigger guppies get dragged down now, all soft time pays less |
