Granted, the parameters/boundries of what falls into an HPI pass has been a moving target as the selection process gets honed and tweaked.
One of those guys that had his wife over his shoulder and failed it was successful and hired the second time around.
The crappy part is, that first HPI unsat has cost him about 3 years.

It’s the nickname for the pilot training center.
In the old days of internal company mail each location had an address with the city code followed by another two letter internal code.
Denver flight ops was DENFO, for example.
For whatever reason the training center was DENTK, or TK for short since in the pilot universe there was only one training center.
The wags suggested TK stood for Training Kingdom.

The rumor around tk is that it did cost him his fedex job. He didn’t show for day 1 but was in the double tree. United Hr calls and asks if he’s planning to come in to day 1 if indoc. He says he has had a change of heart and will not be coming in. United tells him he needs to come in and sign resignation paperwork then. He does and leaves. Apparently fedex got wind that he was hired by United and fedex terminates him. The next day he calls United HR and asks them if they can pretend the resignation never happened.
So, it appears he has no job now.

[QUOTE=worstpilotever;2690979]My understanding is he was a new hire. Called in sick at fedex to go to class at UAL. Problem is he was on probation at fedex still and they found out.[/QUOTE
Wow just wow.. who could be so foolish?
