The Dow was at just about 7000 March of '09 and Oct of '16 was just about 18,100 (I won't let you have anything after that because once trump won, The Dow movement after election was due to Trump's win despite all the liberals saying it would crash), so NOT 200% increase, about 158%. Details are important Nice try on inflating your point! HAHA!! Not to mention it's a lot easier to double 7000 than it is 18000 (try it: double 700 hundred dollars, then try to double 18000 dollars) No one is denying the stock market went up under your guy. We want it to go up.

Congrats your B-fund! That's the point is to make it as big as possible.

Obama wasn't responsible for the merger. Nice try.

I would never brag about reducing a 10% unemployment rate EVER! Should never be there in the first place. That's like saying your wife cheated on you, but, hey, at least she told me about it!

If you don't like the tax cut, please write the IRS a check on the money you don't want. Oh yeah, you won't.

Oil is oil. supply and demand. The president doesn't regulate oil prices.

Sorry, times are good right now even if you hate the guy in office. We may be having a smaller PS checks but that's due to how United is being managed, not because who's in office.

This thread didn’t start with a political argument, but it may soon end because of one.

We do not. As of last fall you guys had ~40 more WB A's than we had, as well as ~700 more WB B's...with about 3k fewer total pilots.

That’s great for you... average median income for middle America went down on his watch over the same period of time and GDP growth over the same 8 years was one of the worst for any president ever. Markets went up because companies were parking cash, zero economic growth. You wanna talk debt and deficit spending? What did that do? Never mind that he campaigned on the platform of deficit spending and debt being a huge threat to national security issue. As was mentioned, anyone can look like an investing rock star when the market is in the ditches.

You mean like the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 or the Budget Control Act of 2011, both of which are still in effect?
Never underestimate the ability of politicians to circumvent laws that they passed.

If Profit Sharing is down we need to tighten up scope and not relax it.

I don't trust Kirby. And for that matter, I don't trust Munoz.

These guys should be killing it right now.....

Best to negotiate higher rates of pay and simply blow off profit sharing.

If the airline doesn't want to make huge profits, that's clearly their choice.
