I think you missed the point by a country mile. Sure, take pride in the profession. But, the company looks at you as a widget. Nothing more. Sorry if you feel otherwise. But that’s the truth. It’s not about “taking the joy” out of this job. Simply a realistic understanding of your/our station at this company.

… which is no different than any other company. Everyone in every company, including top management, are a bunch of replaceable widgets. I especially found it humorous when I was in the military and I'd watch people in leadership positions feel that they were indispensable. Then they'd PCS or retire and be forgotten within a couple of months.

Wrong. You should read the LOA too, and the 50 hour floor is a great get that will improve trip trading.

Pass the koolade bro
It’s so great- NOT. There is nothing that forces the company to allow drops. Most bases have “Min level” higher than available reserves let alone net reserves.
Bottom line, we traded for a theory. It’s a nice theory. If no drops in December occur, how do you think July will go? LOL

Bro, give up checkers and check out chess. Glad some here or on forums and not the MEC. Might want to give your reps a call after you finally read the LOA.

It's not a question of "reading the LOA." Any fool can read some adjectives and some adverbs. The real question is "seeing it in action."

Results matter. Who benefits and how they benefit matter. Language is just language. Who cares what it says. Focus on what it does.

I think the point is this: Don't get wrapped around the axle on stuff you can't control. If it's management's thing, then so be it. If it's the union's thing so be it. You keep yourself happy if you stay in your lane and don't worry about what you can't control.

I don't know what scabs told each other when they crossed the line. I do think they all giggled and laughed, because that's what they still do today.

We have "read" the LOA...When you wake from LaLa land and realize that its the "company" that decides when and if you may trade/drop below the 50 hour floor, then you will understand how those of us that have been around here a few years interpret this LOA.

The question to ask your reps is not one of this LOA. It's one of where is our contract.

That is obviously not the case for many here.
