Just laughing at the delusion of grandeur. Jeffrey, as in Smisek.

Gas prices????? The oilfield is hot, the rig count is high. This recent oil price dip is not permanent, but the young Turks in ORD don’t understand this market.
I’m sorry the days of Fred Abbott overstuffing Humble by 30% staffing are over. Calm the drama a bit. No one is gonna be throwing us out of any of the markets you sighted.

While IAH is certainly still on ice, it is my understanding that the company would like to grow the hub. Apparently the baggage system and various infrastructure details need to be updated/expanded for that to happen. Supposedly, that is happening and near completion, thus allowing for growth in the near future. Just my thoughts, that are worth what you paid for them!

I'm not advocating one way or the other, but since you sound like you know the IAH market vs our other hubs, can you post an O&D traffic comparison of all of our hubs?
That would be one thing that those young Turks would be looking at when choosing which hubs to expand.

We need to send the Network Planning folks over here to APC and get a lesson on where/how often and what fleet to fly from the experts.

Latin America is underperforming. That’s the majority of the IAH function in our route system.

Really? I can't say about northern SA but the deep south routes are full, full. We got a 777 flying to EZE and the 3 deep south 767 routes are so full I can't even bring my wife.

Full doesn’t always mean profitable it all has to do with yields. If Latin America is weak then those passengers are paying less then passengers out of our other hubs.
