First snapshot is out. Here is the first look at the unfilled vacancies:

DCA 320 FO 4
DCA 737 FO 2
EWR 320 FO 20
EWR 737 FO 11
EWR 756 FO 11
LAX 320 FO 4
LAX 737 FO 26
SFO 320 FO 50
SFO 737 FO 57

No unfilled in DEN, IAH, CLE or ORD.

Junior bidder on the snapshot in those locations:
CLE 11271 (737)
DEN 12483 (756)
IAH 12544 (320)
ORD 12441 (737)

Junior pilot on the property is about 12750, so folks hired last Fall are potentially going to be able to get laterals to DEN or IAH, little longer for ORD.

CLE is not growing and only gets spots when more FOs leave than Captains have, so more difficult to predict how long that will take.

Again all of this is based on the first Snapshot, so it will change between now and the final result, but it does give a good big picture look at what is happening with movement on the junior end of the seniority list.

I am surprised at how many WB FO's are bidding Captain on the 320.

Something is going on Giving up Singapore for Des Monies not buying it.

My guess is the company is leaning out the staffing so the cushy schedules are becoming a thing of the past. I've been seeing it on the 756 for a little while now.

Making more money to drive to work and no red eyes can be seen by some as an improvement in QOL! Best part about this place is that you can change things up if you don’t like what you’re doing.

What does staffing have to do with block hour caps in bidding and the actual operation? WB flying is inherently more efficient, (EWR or DEN 787 being the exception), and will always produce lines with closer to 20 days off than 12.

Staffing only determines if the company can cover the schedule or not.

Well on the reserve side of things not nearly as much sitting at home. Short call basically every day if not assigned a trip. This affects the line holders in that they are never allowed to drop trips due to coverage. Just my observation.

Good point, that does affect QOL for sure.

LAX 320 has very little red eyes... then again, the 320 in lax is almost extinct.
