Default Missing hours. What am I missing?

For the month of June the System Schedule Committee report shows scheduled hours are down over 30,000 year over year. Even with the parked 737s we still have more planes than last June. What am I missing? Anyone got intel on what's up?

P.S. The line that shows "pilots" is the number needed not the number available. They have a number in the chart that lists "surplus" pilots and it shows us having 2000+ surplus pilots for the month of June

Good catch, Sunvox.

I’m gonna assume that the wrong month was copy-and-pasted as the hours are also down compared to May.

It does not make any sense that June would be lower than May or down compared to last year. Even with the Max groundings UAL is publishing investor guidance that shows ASM growth.

I usually look at the other chart now labeled "pilot block hours (credit)." The 2018 chart is labeled "aircraft hours." 2019 shows a YOY increase of 6100 hours. I vaguely remember the union saying the total time included deadhead built into pairings. That chart also doesn't include FO/augmented hours. If you included the FO/augmented hours, we are up an additional 7000 hours primarily on the 787 FO side. Most other fleets are nearly identical to last year, 756 down slightly and A320 picks up 2000 hours from the 737.

I also like to look at the active pilot count. Up about 310 for the year. One interesting note is an increase of 100 instructors. Total pilot count up 389 YOY.
