Your union created UALPA vs the Regionals over a decade ago. And unfortunately, regional pilots need to look after ourselves or we will continue to get kicked in the nuts.
UALPA does NOT care about regional airline pilots. And that’s a fact you cannot deny.

Ohhh this is a good one. Uproot ones whole family and life because Skywest pilots might get blacklisted from United? Cut me a break and get off your pedestal. Let me ask you this: do you know anyone on the hiring board at United? I want you to ask them if they will blacklist every Skywest pilot. You know what the answer will be? No. Why? Because that is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Now, your concern should be what if United cuts SkyWest's contract, causing furloughs, and shifts the flying to another regional? But you don't see that as a possibility because you're not able to figure out how it would be implemented.
That whole pilot shortage thing at the regional level is solved by SkyWest furloughees looking for a job with another carrier that got a bunch of former OO flying.

I don't know anyone in the hiring process but I have seen how ExpressJet pilots are now watched much closer.

I’ll tell you what. If you can honestly answer this question, I will get off my jumpseat high horse and will stop denying UA pilots.
Does UALPA care about Skywest? Would UALPA fight and advocate for the Skywest pilot group?
