I've come to learn that the "experts" interviewed by the mainstream news are nothing more than talking heads meant to push an agenda and to make us fearful. I definitely see a short term economic impact from it but I don't see the end of the world scenario some people are preaching.

Not even close. The crash of ‘87 was 22% in one day.

I think the S&P had the biggest drop. He may have meant that.

Again, not even close. The S&P” lost 18%.

The difference now, which is causing fear is the interest rates, In ‘87 the 10 year Treasury was around 9%, today it’s less than 2%.

verifiable facts, Einstein. Look it up yourself.
I was commenting on your % gain. 18589/6469 would be a 287% increase. Just trying to help you make your point better!

I think what the professor meant was:

((18589-6469)/6469)*100

Info wars and Alex Jones are so crazy that it’s hilarious. The government putting chemicals in the water to turn the frogs gay. Good stuff.

exactamundo. or....

To calculate the percentage increase:
  1. First: work out the difference (increase) between the two numbers you are comparing.
  2. Increase = New Number - Original Number.
  3. Then: divide the increase by the original number and multiply the answer by 100.
  4. % increase = Increase ÷ Original Number × 100.
