If you are willing to cut your pay to regional level salaries your wish will come true. It's better to have a job than be furloughed.

bingo
I told my rep it’s like us been landlords and we have no place to live therefore we kick our renters out and go live in our renting property . That’s how I related.
United outright owns 105 76 seaters that are rented as we speak to our renters the regionals
And
that should be our MECs goal

period

I think you have suffered from two furloughs in your career already? I've been in the 121 world for almost 20 years and never suffered from a furlough or downgrade. I logically assume you've still made more income as a mainline pilot compared to a regional pilot like myself. Mainline senior pilots had plenty of years on their side to save up for the eventual downturn. No regional pilot wants to hear you and other senior pilots complain about money or retirement. If pilots did not manage their finances properly over the past decade or longer, that's too bad.

Is the E190/195E2 a common type with the E175? If they are and if we were to order the 190/195, the same pilot group could fly all 3 versions. That would be good news for the bottom part of our list facing furlough, and it would provide a better product going forward. Get rid of the 50 seaters that people hate, take back our 76 seaters, and unlock additional 76 seaters that the regionals buy themselves. Now all we need is the money to buy new planes.

Then don’t come over to the Major section of the forum. Problem solved.

What's with the mainline animosity towards skywest in this thread? That we are some sort of scab that depresses wages and costs jobs? No one here wants the industry to be structured the way it is but civilians have zero shot of the big leagues at 1500hrs, should we all just give up? Very much a "quick, pull up the ladder" mentality. Don't hate the player, hate the game. Sheesh

i could get on board with this - even if it requires a new pay rate for the 175. At least the bottom stays employed on the list and we have a path of bringing more of it back.

If I’m not mistaken, the 195-E2 was in Chicago showing off to who knows who Late February/Early March...
