It's like trying to forecast the weather 15 months out.

No one can forecast the economy, the virus or how the traveling public adjusts to these times but 2265 displaced wide body pilots plus a certain percentage of the 6300 narrow body pilots and it looks like the company is getting ready for a big furlough on 1 October... let’s hope things improve....

If I were them I would take my worse case scenario, best case scenario, and aim for a maybe 2/3 of the way towards the worse.

If you take the April SSC report's combined headcount for May (5406 total 756/777/787 pilots) and subtract Carlson's tentative headcount totals for 756, 777, 787 in his latest Crew Resources Update (3211 total) you get 2195 displacements. That's ACTIVE pilots; not instructors, evaluators, mil leave, etc.

I used the projected active pilot count from 20-06v to come up with 2265 which is similar to your number. This is a 42% reduction in pilot headcount in these fleets. It looks like they are pretty much consolidating most of the international flying to SFO and EWR.

Curious, I was awarded a multi-month ESRL for May-Aug. I just put in for the conversion multi-month ESRL. Should I anticipate 60 hrs pay for June-Sept or 40 hrs June-Aug and 60 hrs for Sept? Thanks in advance, Cheers!

60 only in Sept. Still 40 Jun-Aug.

Conversion of Four-Month E-SRL: Pilots who were awarded a four-month E-SRL covering May through August may convert to a Multi-Month E-SRL, as follows: the pilot will receive 60 hours of pay for the September bid period, then receive zero hours of pay for the time period shown in the Multi-Month E-SRL above. For pilots who are awarded this conversion, the Company will also waive the outside employment requirements, as described above. To bid for this conversion, simply bid for the Multi-Month E-SRL.
