Default Nonrev Policy / Load Factors

I work for another airline but my spouse works for United.

I have heard they won't let nonrevs occupy seats over a 70% load factor, but they will sell revenue to 100%. Is this correct? Seems like a real slash to such a tangible benefit.

What’s your point? Do you work for benefits? Their jets, Their keys. Their airline.

Maybe read the first sentence before getting all defensive?

My point is to ask a question.

Not defensive. Outside of of our contract therefore our control. One might not like it but....

Not trying to be antagonistic but the corporation will respond as they see fit.

Be well

I have heard Delta is doing the same at 60% load factors. Can't blame anyone but the virus. It's unfortunate they are willing to fill the planes, just not with their own people.

Wake up... this whole thing has never been about a virus or anyone's safety.

Blame China, not United execs. First and foremost they are running a business and, unfortunately for those who want to nonrev, they want to keep enough space so that "social distancing" is possible, but also sell enough tickets in case there are people who don't care one way or the other. In other words, if they're going to have to re-accommodate paying pax, they'd rather do it because of other paying pax.

Under the circumstances, I'm OK with it. They're getting creative and they're positive spacing commuters.

You're right. Let me guess, your theory includes the words "Roswell," "Activist Judges", "George Soros," and "Illuminati".
