Special MEC Meeting 19Jun
The MEC will convene via video conference for a special one-day meeting tomorrow, Friday, June 19. The agenda includes an industry update, review of UPA Voluntary Furlough requirements, and MEC discussion.
We will recap any business conducted in open session; however, we cannot report details from executive (closed) session briefs.

Given the way the stars have been aligning, I'm expecting some kind of TA for us to vote on this summer. The company hasn't been very discrete in their negative messaging, and seem to have been 'shaping the battlespace' (sorry for the military allusions...) with the large number of displacements (and presumed large number of furloughs). From their perspective, July might be a 'good' time to have a ballot open since some of us will have already had pay cuts, a lot of us will be holding paper pay cuts, and a lot will likely be holding furlough notices.
I hope I'm just being paranoid (even though they ARE out to get me).

Everyday has been a good day for bourbon since I dequaled a few weeks ago. My neighbors must love their wake up call every Thursday when recycling gets picked up. The glass bottles shattering has become comically concerning.

You don't see too many special meetings when there's nothing going on. And the list of things that potentially could be happening is a long one.
I'm standing by for either bad news or worse than bad news.
Bourbon is nice but pass something from Islay this way, please.

Not intended as a personal swipe, just leaves one more time on a Friday afternoon with a tall glass of Clase Azul Reposado and a nice view to ponder life. Stay thirsty.

A few weeks ago?! Heck I’m a few months ago. They don’t recycle glass where I live, but the empty beer cans picked up since Mar has been epic.

Someone made the comment on the other forum about needing a forklift to get recycling out due to the heavy drinking. That comment has stuck with me and I laugh every time I pitch another dead soldier into the bin. Cheers!

I might have missed it, but have there been any other special meetings in the past couple of months? Any intel?

New MEC Update is out. Check your email.
One new thing is a MOU to revise the Prudent Pilot Policy and now only one commute flight is required. As before, if you miss a trip you still lose normal pay but you can now use vacation pay to cover the loss.
