Food fight

I’m not sure why, because most of the united pilots I interact with are really great and reasonable people, but our sub forum seems to be host to a lot more arguing in vitriol than the other legacy sub forms. Maybe we could have dedicated threads where the mods just let us say crazy stuff to each other so that we can keep on topic in the other threads?
rules would be:
1. you must take one of the two available positions in an argument. There cannot be nuance and if you disagree with someone, then you obviously are put squarely in the other camp
2. The consequence of people not agree with your position is life and death. People that cannot see the error in their ways can safely be assumed to be among the biggest idiots to ever walk this earth
3. Continental and United pilots should obviously never have mixed. We need to figure out which legacy was better and then just adopt every single one of their practices and cultural tendencies, and treat The other airline like a relic. Kind of like your old racist grandpa: cute, but completely devoid of any relevance
4. speaking of racist grandpas, we need to decide if
A. Young black kids without a normal family have the same chance to be CEO as a middle class white family with two parents. We can pity them up until they are 18, but then the switch flips and they are 100% culpable for all their actions. at this point, locking them up with other criminal individuals seems like the best way to get them back on track.
B. All negativity shown towards any minority obviously comes from a place of repressed hatred. The genetic tendency toward in group bias is the filthiest thing human beings have ever encountered. The only way to get to a post-racial society, is to make every persons identity inexorably tied to the shade of their skin. Only by viewing people strictly as a race and interpreting all dynamics based on this, can we overcome our tendency to allow race to play a role in our society.
4. COVID is either the worst pandemic this planet has ever seen and warrants any governmental measures necessary to prevent even a single death, or it is plainly a common cold and requires no real thought or coordinated national action
5. remember, the best bet it to portray yourself is: only slightly outside of center, and then address the corresponding (but opposite side) slightly outside of center person as Completely ridiculous and obviously so tied to their narrative that they are not worth talking to (all while you continue to lecture them about your beliefs and preemptively encourage them to save their breath).
obviously this is satire and I will be very surprised if the overzealous mods allow this incendiary material to be viewed by our collectively sensitive eyes (and minds). But seriously.... what if we kept the proverbial food fight inside one thread and left the others to actually stay on topic. Mods would have a lot more sympathy cracking down on any political or divisive (unrelated) commentary on threads that actually serve a purpose

Congratulations on this extraordinarily well written satirical essay on the sad state of modern discourse. The seemingly irreversible loss of our ability to listen to and appreciate perspectives other than our own is stupefying. Truly measured discourse is not a transmit-only affair, but a thoughtful balancing of one’s desire to make his own perspective known while also endeavoring to understand the perspectives of others. Submitting one’s own viewpoint as infallible and viciously attacking anyone who dares disagree is a sign of gross immaturity.

Wolf did exactly what he said he was going to do. From a business point, not all that bad. As an employee, disastrous, and a vindictive bastard.
Through all that, he got paid. Just like Ferris, Tilton, and Smizek. What a bunch of winners.
