That and our MEC did a fantastic job negotiating with a management team that notoriously will trip over a $20 to save a dime. Im hearing it really came down to the final hour.

I’m very happy for the AS pilots. I have friends there. However, every company is in very different situations. Alaska has little international exposure, for example.
Also, it’s not over until it’s over. And unfortunately, it’s far from over. Hopefully AS (and many others) won’t have to furlough in the end, but I’m not so sure.

In fairness, the 100 number is not a limit, it is a minimum. And the company has said they plan on granting almost all requests. So we’ll see what actually happens, but to call 100 a limit is inaccurate.

They were always welcoming and experienced crews, and I am going to miss the aft jumpseat they had on the 145's. Really sad to see employees from a respected regional out of a job, especially now.

if anything they’re doubling down. There was a zoom presentation they did the other day expecting (and I’m paraphrasing here), on the other side of this plandemic they expect the largest hiring wave in the history of the industry.
