Going way out on a limb here, but I don't believe that this agreement will prevent that from happening. The company can and will get very creative.

There was a time when I thought that a few lines in the contract would keep me flying. A few months later an intern showed me off the property.

The company is going to furlough however many they feel they need to furlough, regardless of what the pilots do. The only thing this AIP does, is potentially allow them to blame the pilot group for furloughs if it doesn't pass.
