I'll protect the junior pilots from what I perceive as a "B" scale, even though the hard fought pay rate remains intact. They will be furloughed but at least I can rest at night knowing they won't be subject to working less while still earning something near $7,000 per month. After a good furlough, they will come back someday and thank me for helping them understand the expectations of a good airline career. I know how difficult it must be, I almost got furloughed once. I haven't got that many years left, but until then I'm going to work as many days as I can til my last day.

By all means, vote in your own self interest. That’s your right, and I wouldn’t begin to question that. At the point where you want to ALSO act like that’s doing me a favor.....eh, not so much. Especially when you share that you ALMOST got furloughed?!
Wow...that must have been really traumatic for you.

I do actually get that. And I did vote, in my family’s best interest. I voted YES. The lecturing from the “grown ups” is getting old. If this TA passes, I fully expect to hear griping about it for YEARS, even if it works and we all get raises at the end.

My apologies for sounding offensive, that was not my intent. I also voted YES even though I am not subject to furlough in the foreseeable future. Having thousands hit the street is not in the best interest of my quality of life. Spending more time at home, now that's quality... albeit having to eat grilled cheese vs filet mignon. All we are is dust in the wind. Best of luck to everyone.
