I'll protect the junior pilots from what I perceive as a "B" scale, even though the hard fought pay rate remains intact. They will be furloughed but at least I can rest at night knowing they won't be subject to working less while still earning something near $7,000 per month. After a good furlough, they will come back someday and thank me for helping them understand the expectations of a good airline career. I know how difficult it must be, I almost got furloughed once. I haven't got that many years left, but until then I'm going to work as many days as I can til my last day.

The answer is a resounding yes for people who think no. Just like farting, you might be proud of it but never admit it. We've all been there.

Why the peeing and moaning? Because we have yet to innocualte oursleves against management's penchant to always go after pilot paychecks. Management is genetically programmed to always go after a labor-cost-advantage on the backs of the pilot group. Every cycle, ALPA, and the other unions try to design a better mouse-trap in order to prevent what seems to always happen.
