That could possibly have been the longest multi-thread tantrum in APC forum history. If it's really over. Just sayin.

Your screen name tells me you were also smart enough to fly the correct Lockheed.

IIRC he was furloughed for 14 months, stated somewhere earlier.

I'm not doubting he was furloughed...that tends to embed itself into ones memory, like my two furloughs (UAL 2001 hire). I just noted his comments didn't align. No harm.

Nevermind, nothing to see.

Wrongo. Furloughed from LUAL and wouldn’t have thought of any type of scheme for senior pilots to pay my way. Went back to active duty and did a year tour in the desert unaccompanied while my wife stayed home, worked her butt off and did the single parent thing. And I don’t see the value in this TA. What is the value in a pilot who cannot hold a seat but being paid for that seat? Please explain and please don’t use the pounce excuse.

Either you're lying about being furloughed by UAL or you're lying about your tenure as you said 7 to go and will retire with 31 years on property. That makes you a 1996 hire. Which is it?

Haha, as I thought-BS, 31 years with Ual you say? Idk what's worse, your take on the agreement or you math skills? try 22 years? Well lucky for you, you had a military job to go back to that likely paid you more than you were making at Ual-you were more fortunate than most-myself included. Thanks for your service btw! Did you read the TA? If your displacement was canceled, you're going back to your seat. How is that not a seat you're holding? Even for those in the middle group that didn't have their displacement cancelled but were lets say 737 capt, 737 fo pay at current line values is lucky to get 73 hours vs 52 hours at pay protected capt pay=$500 more. Really sticking it to ya!

34, assuming his (questionable) math is somewhat correct.

The way I'm reading it
31 yrs total at United. 24 yrs so far?
7 yrs to go, making him 58.

The problem is that he claims to be hired mid-98 which makes his time on property to be 22 yrs, not 24.
Somehow he gained an extra 2 yrs of seniority somewhere. A few dog months thrown in???
