Default Junior Group Discussion and Concerns

A place to discuss junior group concerns, to post questions and observations that will get lost in other threads. The ones that are still discussing the Cal/UA merger and how bad it was in the past.🙄
The law of unintended consequences will surely come into play for all 3 groups. I suspect more so for the junior group.

I’m probably stating the obvious here and I’ve mentioned this concern before, but this applies to all 3 groups. The only way to beat xx hrs MPG is to remain current. Line holders can pick up open time and reserves can pick up out of silo. If one expires for landings or because your recurrent sim wasn’t scheduled then there is nothing saying you will be afforded the opportunity to regain your currency. You hypothetically could sit home for months, at 35hrs pay (jr group), waiting for the company to decide they need you.
Which leads to the “bird in the hand vs two in the bush” discussion. Take the new downgrade training or hope your displacement is eventually canceled and that you’ll eventually be requaled.
I looked at CCS/Staffing and noticed something very interesting. Many of my fellow displacees are still listed in the BES for Jan. What’s up with that? Is it because I somehow “lucked out” and have transition training scheduled? I certainly don’t want to hear about a jr, displaced, pilot getting a recurrent sim when I could have had it. I guess that goes back to bird in the hand. How long is one willing to wait?

I assume they’re still working through everything since they said they’re canxing all transition events after the 13th (I think that was the day) and stated they’ll start working through recurrent sims and landings for unqualified guys after that. I’ve been dead for landings since June and am in my due month for CQ, so I fully expect they’ll try to send me this month to knock both out.

They’ve been canxing my trips about 48 hours prior this bid, which may or may not be normal, I have no idea since this is my first line since this all kicked off. On reserve and unqualified, they blanked my month all at once about the 21st prior.

This might be the funniest thread of all times on APC. If my liver holds out, I'll come back in a decade and see how you're doing!

My guess? SK will be a Jillionaire trolling Maui or Malibu for Prime while today's junior third will be trolling IAH and ORD while wondering what the hell happened to all those big bucks and time off!

Thanks?

You really kinda lost the edge with this. Went from sage to cackling and slinging. Appreciate your addition here. Maybe time for a break?

That food court in Houston....nice. I LOVE BBQ. And ORD? I hear they're going to revamp and redo. Might even be a Chipotle by 2025!

Enjoy!

Love how everyone else gets a seniority look after all the early outs and retirement. However the junior group has a foot on their head holding them under from the July 1 snapshot.

Guess I should’ve read the fine print before I voted NO.

Interesting. Old legacy guy says what you like and he's sage. Old legacy guy goes against your belief and he's cackling and slinging.

Urging patience, maturity and unity while posting T&A for the years I’ve been lurking around here to now name calling guys he doesn’t know who’ve expressed little opinion around here other than on tight pants and Lockheed time/per diem machines?

I don’t recall him ever seeking out threads just to tell guys they’re idiots, so yes, I think he’s lost it.

If you’d like to fill me in on some history around here I haven’t already sought out, I’m always game for some mentoring. Been a while since I’ve been in the cockpit, so this is the only place I’ve been able to absorb someone else’s hate. Look at us now, creating hateful memories, the wheel keeps on spinning.

Life’s too short man.

You were bellyaching on the last PVSL that you weren't eligible because you were, what, a year or two too young?
Take the PVSL-2 and go off and leave this airline job which makes you so miserable behind. You've posted whining complaints here (in between the hottie pics) for many years now without any realistic solutions. Time to start a new chapter in your life.

Not to worry; I'm sure someone will come along to replace you here by posting occasional tantalizing pics.
