Watched the whole video, pretty disappointed. He never mentioned once where to score Lemmon 714s or how to spend my fun coupons

You honestly think that lower MPG is going to be allowed by a bankruptcy judge??? That is VERY unlikely to happen. The lower MPG makes us even more unproductive than we already are. A bankruptcy court probably won’t touch MPG because it won’t really matter. The court will go after anything that get in the way of productivity. We will take a rate cut and any work rules that interfere with productivity will be gone. All of who were going to be furloughed, would then be furloughed. Not only that, but Chapter 11 probably won’t be available for us. Chapter 7 is more likely...

There’s not a single major that could even file Ch 11 right now, except perhaps SWA. With significant negative cash burn, no unencumbered assets, and dismal revenue there’s zero basis for a “plan of reorganization.” Any trip to bankruptcy would not be Ch 11.

It is literally a case of the players trying to out race the bear. UAL might not be the fastest in the bunch but I’m sure glad it’s not the laggard in this situation.

I disagree...private equity with deep pockets would be lined up around the block. You aren't going to get a ten banger hanging out in the stock market these days. They could get assets for pennies on the dollar and concessions from everyone from employees to airports to leasing companies. It wouldn't be good for employees but there would be a lot of money to be made for attorneys and accountants.

what you said is the exact reason why no major can go bankrupt right now....they will not emerge. If they do emerge they will die a slow painful death......Icahn and TWA.

UA Pilots just went full Mike Honcho. There's a tell there. Once the crap shoots out the leg holes of juniors diaper, there's no putting it back.

or Cal and Texas Air Group. A lot of people that weren't pilots made a lot of money. We really have no control over the outcome...
