Both the Delta and United programs are great deals for those airlines....It will build strong loyalty to the airline, come contract time in ten years they will have a solid airline favorable voting block. Solid brand loyalists.
It is a great union quelling move by executive leadership as well a great data gathering exercise.
For the pilots of ALPA at those two carriers...Time will tell

Nothing to do with envy and everything to do about whats right. If you donate to charity and they use it to buy caviar, I''ll be sure to label your outrage as envy.

As an outsider, you said the guys you "threw a lifeline to are eating caviar". I thought the "lifeline" group was at the bottom third and getting 35 hours? Can you clarify that for me? How far up from the bottom pilot does the 35 hours go?

When I donate to charity or do charity work I try not to judge ... what they do with it is between them and God.

That is just the minimum depends on fleet, but there are guys getting captain pay and WB pay in seats they can't hold, getting 90 hours in the 787, etc....

I was aware of that. I just didn't think those were the "lifeline guys" At Delta, we considered the life line guys the ones that were at real risk of furlough. Guess you guys have a different definition. So, what % start the month with 35 hours?
