Apparently, passing a basic English class was not a requirement to graduate ERAU.

No, I said we should vote on it again.

Why?

It was a generous gesture that somewhere around 90% of our pilot group voted for, and given the economic impact of the LOA, it is my opinion that we should vote again. For those of us like myself that received a furlough notice, between the CARES Act and the LOA, we were given a lot more time to save and plan than we would have otherwise. I fly with Captains in the top 1/3 and many are still trying to make up for a lost pension, the lost decade, etc. Post-LOA I feel less comfortable accepting financial help towards health insurance unless the pilot group is still willing to pay for it.

This is wild to read. No furloughs anyway so no need to worry your lil head.

Hopefully with the vaccine there will be no furloughs. Time will tell.

I made an observation regarding the dynamics of the airline industry during 2001-03 vs the present landscape. Yet you’re back trying to quell the angst of buyer’s remorse regarding the current UAL vs DAL LOAs.

It’s bad enough that this UAL MEC product was admittedly engineered not for its original intent, but to be a memrat vote generating machine to guarantee passage. Further made worse by the fact that it couldn’t stand on its own merits but had to be sold with promises and fear. Now the cherry on top is an LOA comparison after the agreement has already been implemented. Only reason Todd would need to do that is an attempt to cement his legacy and influence the LEC elections.

I gotta ask Lee, how heavy are those pails water you’re carrying?

Okay, the comparison was in direct response to the traffic being received by the union. Merely an attempt to put things into relative terms between the two different airlines and LOAs to different contracts.

If it doesn’t satisfy you. Okay. I didn’t write it nor was I consulted on it.

Much like every time a new contract is put out for memrat, all pilots do is go to the compensation section to evaluate. A contract, or LOA in this case, is far more than a simple $$$. In this situation I think it is clear that ours is far more comprehensive in its design and places us at an advantage down range. Time will tell if I’m correct or not.

As always, you are entitled to your position as am I. To insinuate I am somehow an agent of the MEC here to spread what is propaganda in your mind is a range foul. I’m just giving you my opinion.

Lee

That is an interesting take on it and I'm sure there are others that share your views on it. I think another vote on the fund would still pass by a significant, albeit smaller, margin (though at least 58%). And so, probably not worth the time or effort.

You keep doing your best to make adding an ERAU background a component worthy of consideration for the threat forward briefing concept. Either that or you are just a troll just trying to make it look that way.
