Default EWR Town Hall Hype?

Haven’t tuned in to any non-union town hall meeting in a very long time, but logged in today to see what the EWR CPO had to say about current events and the health of our industry since things have been kinda quiet on that front from our MEC.

EWR CP enthusiastically says we will be at 80% of previous levels by summer and 100% by years end. He says we are only staffed to fly 91% of previous levels so hiring will need to take place to fly more than that.

Can anyone corroborate any of this or is Fabz blowing smoke?

He is not incorrect that UAL will have to hire pilots before it can return to pre-Covid levels.

I would estimate there are hundreds of us with CJOs too before you even need to hire. Just a sidenote really but one can hope!

I think when you show up for class, that is hiring. CJO does not equal hired.

I always wondered why they raise their tail to take a dump, and humans don’t have to when they take a dump on you.

Fortunately I wasn’t based there ... just passing through.

Any comments on when United will start vaccinations at EWR for employees?

We are slowly moving forward, the flying this summer will be >80% of 2019. I’m just glad that any kind of good news seems to irritate all the all knowing Naysayers waiting around the corner to give us the I told you so talk. May 6th we are starting SNA-HNL on the 737-700 👍👌.
