Yeah I'd hate to have the company still flying all the 76 seaters around with 6 seats ripped up, with tighter RJ scope ratios, and guaranteed leaves of absence for whoever wants them for a few more months {facepalm} with everyone getting pay protections! TERRIBLE!

Do you really think pay protection from gov assistance will continue while at the same time hiring new labor?. A little hard to justify don’t you think? So what happens when that supply of funds is cut off? The company gets to hire and train all while keeping the low MPGs Throughout the winter slow months in prep for summer 22 (Provided the LOA is not terminated by one of the triggers)
Don’t get me wrong , the LOA is a good thing, but MPGs should be all returned to normal (without the need for gov bailouts) before new hires are brought in.

Let’s expand on your comment about full pay until Oct 1st. I was under the impression that we will exhaust our funds come July? Has it been confirmed that we will be full pay until Oct?

We’re a long way off from guaranteeing 70% loads OCT 1. Could happen & I hope it does, but you’re talking about it like it’s a sure thing. Hopefully it’s moot like you say, but new hires should definitely have been a termination trigger.

Pretty sure it’s the later of September 30 or expiration of funds. IOW, it could extend beyond Sept 30 but I’m confident the suits have a way of using that money by October; if only on paper...
