Real United pilots don’t wear hats.

1. Has anyone ever washed out of Indoc?

2. What is the footprint like? What is covered? How long is it?

From the FOM 1.80.1 : pilot luggage must be maintained and may not have insignia visibly displayed. While in uniform, pilots may not utilize a backpack as part of their travel kit. If not in uniform, whether on duty or deadheading, a backpack may be utilized as long as it is a size that will accommodate that pilot’s lunch box and kneeboard.

Unless you lie, cheat, sexually harass someone, or steal you aren't going anywhere. A few people get walked out for the background check but that is rare. One guy didn't resign his other alpa position prior to class and he "resigned." As for the classroom it is more an opportunity to learn about us as a company and your class.

How long do you need to be separated from your current airline before starting at United?

BI FOM Test -> Aircraft Systems SKV -> Procedures PV -> Manuevers MV -> Line oriented training LOE -> IOE
BI is 2 weeks, type training is about a month, and each step has a validation.

You just need to tell your previous airline that you are done on whatever day you choose. It could be the day before. This individual wanted to see what it was like without burning the bridge with his current employer. He ended up without either job and only came clean after confronted.
