A guy who flew at Emirates for 16 years was asked by a screener if they had internet access over there...

Yes, but they had no electricity nor indoor plumbing.

College degrees are relatively easy to get. Many colleges offer credit for life experiences. Many high schools offer dual credit, and at the Junior College level, it is very affordable and accessible. That junior college work can be brought to a 4 year university very easily. In many cases state legislatures make it "free" for the junior college experience. My son, at age 16, was enrolled in a junior college for free. Only paying a small registration fee.

I think Airlines are correct to require them. It shows "want to - and follow through."
If you have set a goal to achieve something and you do it, the airlines will like that. It shows you've got some grit.

I love the idea of colleges that offer 4 year degrees in aviation. Plus, while you are there, you can easily double-majer and get another degree. Those universities on the quarter system are easy to get a 4 year degree in 3 years. I see many HS students come out of HS with both a HS diploma and a Associates degree from the local junior college.

Dream + Plan + Achieve = Employable

The airlines are very transparent with what it takes to make it through the door. You either want to, or you don't.

You either whine and complain about it, or shut up and color and get r done.

Your choice.

And you can also earn a degree in coloring ...
