Sorry if I missed it, but as an offline commuter will I have to show my papers in order to ride up front now?

Texas Senate Hearing not sure when it was held but found the link while falling in this vaccine rabbit hole. There seem to be politicians who are concerned.

There seems to be data cited in this hearing that suggests that more people have died from this experimental drug then all other vaccines combined.

Around the six minute mark he states that a business requiring folks to get the jab will not be held liable for any damages. Solely upon the individual to carry they burden.

maybe ALPA will set up a fund to help those who may have issues.

Here’s the link to the hearing

Every CA I’ve flown with would do everything in their power to never leave anyone at the gate. Now we have 90% of our CAs who got the vaccine for a multitude of reasons (some to protect sick spouses/family or their own underling conditions) and 10% who are being forced to get it. They will also have to deal with us FOs and our FAs who also got the vaccine. I bet you will have mixed results, but that is just a guess?

I’m no lawyer, but this letter discussing the laws (Section 564)surrounding the mandating of EUA medicines by entities to include the DOD and recent DOJ Slip opinion on same makes what looks to me like good arguments.

I hope they have a plan for this. It needs to be policy not left to individuals to police. Off line commuters are also potentially affected by this decision.

He’s using VAERS data, which instantly devalues his statements.

The CA owns the jumpseat. ALPA will never let a policy force a CA into accepting a jumpseater. You may be alright, but if you’re worried about it get the vaccine.

Unfortunately, it’s not a good argument in the eyes of DOJ and DOL and the first federal judge, who just ruled against FL:

U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams of the state's southern district ruled that the cruise line would be "irreparably injured" by the state prohibition, leaving it no way to ensure that thousands of passengers who will remain in close quarters for days have been vaccinated.

Its not about ALPA, the company needs to be able to say non vaccinated off line pilots are prohibited from occupying the cockpit jumpseat if they do not submit proof of Covid vaccination. If they don’t that would be rather hypocritical methinks.

I’m sure all our CAs will consider your thoughts. I recommend you don’t tell him/her that you think they are hypocritical if they don’t take you. Good luck!
