Evidently, the unpaid leave started Friday the 12th. KA-BOOM. Yo-nited ain't messing around. Get the jab, or don't get paid. That's just the way it is. OR....OR, you can apply as a ramper until it's "safe" for you to return to your customer facing job.

Sick time and its use is covered by the UPA. Making people use sick time for allergies is a contractual violation and a change to the terms of employment. That is all.

WINNING!!!

Kirby said about 200 employees did not comply with United's mandate and were fired of its 67,000 employees. He added about 6 pilots were fired and 80 on unpaid leave out of about 13,000.

United granted around 2,000 religious and medical exemptions to employees. Kirby said about 80% of those seeking religious exemptions were granted.

2,000 is way too many exemptions. If you got fired or put on unpaid leave, you basically were not even trying.

The 80 pilots on unpaid leave DID get an exemption. Unpaid leave is United's remedy for the exemptions... and that has stood in court.

"Here is your religious exemption, now go home without pay until the pandemic is over"
