Indoc New Hire Questions

It's AQP which translates to No Pilot Left Behind. In all seriousness though, the training is very good. Show up prepared and you'll have no problem at all. If you are having trouble LET SOMEONE KNOW! They will get you the help you need.

The company will spend countless extra hours getting somebody through training as long as they don’t have a bad attitude. Don’t sweat training as it has a tendency to make you dwell on errors rather than learning the lesson and moving on. Study hard, don’t expect to be spoon fed, show up every day with positivity and you will be fine. Examples of bad attitudes - entitlement, superiority of previous company, disdain for SOPs that you don’t like etc. That being said - don’t sacrifice family issues etc for training. The company recognizes we are all juggling balls and some are made of glass. Don’t drop the wrong ball and have your priorities set correctly and training management will support you.

unfortunately due to unforeseen family issues, I may be taking a break from flying… so i’ve had to pull my app from the hiring process and cancel my interview. Any idea on when I would be able to apply again? Would it be the 12 months waiting period? Thanks

Maybe go ahead and interview now and ask for a class date down the road , if successful.

You should communicate with the interviewers. Maybe reschedule to a later date or interview now and get the cjo and get a class in a handful of months or when you're available. I'm sure they'll work with you.Did you just cancel everything with no explanation?

I had to bump my interview a month due to a family emergency (even though United says no deferrals/changes in their communications). I'd recommend continuing forward with your interview date and email the hiring team and communicate what's going on. If they call you for an interview, it means they want you. But life happens and they can be flexible. Just ask. Worst case is they tell you to reapply but if you pull it yourself, you HAVE to re-apply...
