I haven't clicked on the interview scheduling link yet, but I'm currently scheduled to start at JetBlue in one week (and their training is supposed to last 6 weeks). Anyone know if I'll be able to schedule the United interview after initial training at JetBlue (or in less than a week, before JetBlue starts)? I'm assuming it would be difficult to leave initial training for an interview!

(Also, as much as possible, I want to be fair to JetBlue, and not waste their resources if I am ultimately successful in getting to United, but I don't know if that will be possible.)

6 weeks isn't that long, you should be able to schedule your interview that far out.

Good to hear, that's what I'm hoping for. (I want to gather as much information as I can before clicking the scheduling link, just in case they won't let me leave the page without choosing a date.)

Thanks!

take the JetBlue class date and email United to coordinate an interview with them. Buddies have interviews starting Jan 4 so they may have some openings before your class date or after.

You probably wont get an interview until early February. Just read the previous posts. Those that took the Hogan last week got interview dates for late January and maybe early February. Hopefully some can chime in. I would take what they offer you.

Good advice, thank you. Definitely taking the JetBlue start for now (I actually like them a lot, and would be fine with staying there). And it's just like you say about emailing them: After looking at the available dates, all conflicted with JetBlue training, but they said in that case, just email them to coordinate. Email sent.

I don’t see how they are going to make an exception for an earlier interview when there are hundreds of guys who have completed the Hogan before you. If they do accommodate you with an interview in January, please feel free to share the date they provided. I would be shocked if they do. As I said, they were assigning interview dates for late January for those who completed the Hogan last week. Keep us updated.

That's a good point, and I agree with you. I definitely wouldn't want to skip other people. Hopefully they'll let me resolve the conflict by waiting until I'm out of training at JetBlue (late Feb), and luckily that sounds like something they'll be willing to do. (None of the dates the automated system offered me were late enough.)
