Default voting to stay open.

Don't let this become our contract!!!

No word if any of the LEC reps are changing their support???

July 6, 2022 MEC Special Meeting Update

Today, your MEC met in special session to review the status of the current ratification process and receive a detailed briefing on the offer American Airlines' (AAL) management made last week to the Allied Pilots Association (APA). We also discussed the contract feedback received at local council meetings, MEC town halls, P2P engagements, and PDRs.
After much discussion, the MEC unanimously agreed the ballot will remain open through the originally planned closing date of Friday, July 15, 10 a.m. ET. Please get the facts about the Tentative Agreement on the MEC website and vote so your voice can be heard. Updated FAQs have been posted and we will continue to address questions sent to the UPA 2022 TA FAQ PDR inbox. MEC town halls will resume next week, and the dates will be announced soon. Your LEC representatives are also available if you have any questions.
Beginning Monday, the MEC will be in session for the regularly scheduled July meeting, and we will know the outcome of the TA ballot on Friday, July 15. Whichever way the results turn out, the MEC will be ready to chart a course forward. As always, our success is driven by line pilot engagement and unity.

Nope. They actually did the right thing here. But now the membership needs to shoot it down hard and fire them anyway.

I’m afraid they know it will pass and will avoid any repercussions.

It says unanimously passed the vote. I don’t think the ORD reps would vote yes, if they thought this turd is going to pass.

It says they unanimously agreed to leave the vote open. It's not clear they have control over that anyway without a new TA.

This is confusing …

“MEC unanimously decided the ballot will remain open”

So the reps who initially did not believe that it was in the best interest of the pilot group to submit the TA for membership ratification have changed their mind…?

Or, is there some reading between the lines and they are asking for a significant level of rejection..?
That seems like one hell of a calculated risk.

At a minimum it would be great to hear from the reps that produced the con letter to hear what they specifically intended by their participation in today’s unanimous vote.

No,

This part was unbelievable...."as always, our success is driven by line pilot engagement and unity."

if our success was driven by line pilot engagement and unity, why did neither one of those two occur under this MEC?[/color]

I was getting the feeling that our success was driven by the whims of management and the good will of the crew desk.
