Record numbers of UAL pilots on Reserve
Many of us are upset over the continued jockeying of the G Line which is affecting how many of us are on reserve and our QOL .
Unfortunately I can’t find anything contractually preventing the company from putting 100% of us on Reserve if they wanted to.
What can we do now to get relief? Everyone remember this when considering the next contract. Reserve improvements are ESSENTIAL. Let’s also add in language that the G Line shall be no lower than 75%.

Tin foil hat-
This is probably going to be the next accounting switch if the 0600 goes away in TA2. The company "gives" that back while artificially increasing reserves via G line to avoid the PPU that we want to keep so badly. They basically just said they aren't paying PPU out like that anymore- I think this is all in preparation for 0600 going away.

that’s not crazy they’re already doing it. I’m concerned that it might stay this way so I’m downgrading. I’m tired of being 75% and having them tdy Captains in, and then screwing with the g line.

it’s all about avoiding PPU and shutting down trading.

I haven’t been here super long, but I haven’t had an unused day of reserve yet (737).
im questioning why we even have long call. I have NEVER sat long call. If I try and get one day back during a reserve block I’ll just get hit with field standby or short call.
and contrary to all the advice given when I started, I’d actually be above the G line for September on the bus. The 73 fleet appears to be woefully mismanaged right now.
