Just to manage expectations, someone with that kind of time in the military would have mostly PIC time in fighters.

I’ve seen military guys/gals get hired around that time, but you are still pretty low for civilian. You never know though, definitely get your app out. The real show stopper is your RATP. They won’t touch you with a 10’ pole until that restriction is removed. Get on that ASAP and good luck!

Currently a restricted ATP regional FO. Have anyone heard of an instance of someone being hired around 1600-2000TT, 500+ SIC turbine time?

does military experience (non-pilot) help at all? I imagine there are a lot of other vets who apply apply all the time
Said another way, flight time will get your application into the review stack and get you the invitation to start the process. |

Undecided, upgrading at a regional or jumping to LCC carrier. How much TT is United calling people with? How often without PIC? Please post how much TT when you got called for a interview if posible and if any TPIC? thanks in Advance

United has dropped the requirement of a certain score on the Hogan as a prerequisite to be invited to interview. Dropped total hours to 2350, no TPIC and no four year degree required.
CEO says he wants to hire 8000 pilots in next 5 years. The pilot pool is really drying up. Ran into a 756 evaluator. Says he currently can’t give an ATP only a type rating - unlike Regional Evaluators. He recently talked to a FAA inspector he knows from TK. Inspector says United is applying to give initial ATP’s for new hires like Regionals do now. So at some time in the future I expect we will be hiring 1500 CFI’s directly to mainline like Spirit is looking to do now. Yeah ALPA says there’s no pilot shortage, right! |

Do you have a military background? I was referring to pure civilian. Either way the mins can’t go much lower. There isn’t many eligible pilots left to hire.
