It was a service animal, not that what happened is cool, it’s just a different perspective as to why a large dog was onboard.
i’m sure the owner picked up after his trusty companion…

That is not a real service animal.

I would’ve turned around too.

Thank you.
There are some major liability issues here.
Food served from a galley where a dog took a dump? Thats millions right there.
Couple hours delay, few care.

From the DOT website:

Under what circumstances may airlines deny transport to a service dog?
  • Airlines are permitted to deny transport to a service dog if it:
    • Violates safety requirements - e.g., too large or heavy to be accommodated in the cabin;
    • Poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others;
    • Causes a significant disruption in the cabin or at airport gate areas; or
    • Violates health requirements - e.g., prohibited from entering a U.S. territory or foreign country.
And there is the affidavit from the owner stating the animal won’t relive itself and/or won’t take a dump in the aft galley.

That now all has to be considered contaminated.
Yup. I personally am not going to clean up someone's dog squirts, assuming that it's not in my job description and I don't have the right gear for that.

If the Health Dept, saw that in any restaurant kitchen, it would be a violation. Why bend over backwards to enable it on an airplane?

Airlines for a very long time have turned a blind eye to the problems which come with cabin pets. This was an opportunity to put some data up on the score board for managers to see.

Probably not, those only poop when and where they're supposed to.

If the owner was a responsible pet owner, he would’ve trained it like Jinxie and the dog would’ve used the lav. The owner might’ve had to flush it though due to dogs lacking opposable thumbs.

My money is on dog owner being a Karen type. That’s 99% of them with dogs at the airport.

In other sad news…..Raquel Welch just passed away. For the woke types, this is what a woman is.
