Dog...um..."leavings"...cause return.

So what exactly is the dog or the owner supposed to do instead? Sorry I don't have a dog and wouldn't fly it around anyway.
Was an air return necessary?
Why would there be severe consequences?
Totally naive/ignorant here. Honest question. I realize that the dog is leaving a huge mess and a bad stink and the ICK kit would need to be used...

Not sure what the crew was thinking or why they decided to return. A friend was on this flight and never got an answer as to why they returned, other than it was due to the dog.

As far as what the dog owner is supposed do: A) Leave the dog at home, B) Drive, C) Have the dog in a crate and checked with the bags, D) Not have a dog. Any of those options is acceptable. No matter what, letting your big dog **** in the galley is not an acceptable option.

Gotcha.
The irony of the name “Dogberry” is not lost on me in this case. Cheers.
