Commuting is like having a second job, moving isn’t a choice. The one thing they could do to make my qol go up is dove positive commute or more heavily discounted tickets. That’s it. That’s the biggest thing that would make my qol go up.

I’d honestly be fine with the discounted tickets. Even with UAL discount right now, sometimes a fare will be 800+ on one day and 70 on another.

just let me buy some $50 (or whatever) tickets and it would help a lot.

My previous ACMI job bought tickets to work and had hotels in base. The QOL difference for commuters was nuts.

Unless it’s across the board it won’t fly. I re-suggest 150,000 miles/yr to each pilot to do with what they want.

I for one am looking forward to my contractual must-ride status for my EWR commute when I move to PPT

I’d support that.

This is my 3rd airline and I've got to say I've never worked so hard in my life. Even the regional I was at had better QOL. I don't want to fly 90 hour lines with 13 days off every month, with zero flexibility or ability to drop ANYTHING.

By the way, so many commuters at UAL and providing insurance for actual assignments in the way of PS trips would be really helpful, not asking for free but maybe at cost tickets.

…Yeah that email from Garth was Not encouraging.

ALPA just needs to go to Twitter. When good leads the way…. Company’s operations costs are too high, get the hell out of Chicago for goodness sake. IAH isn’t geographically suitable for a fortress hub, go to Nashville and grow it then. Enjoy low cost of living…

I’m in just long enough to not want to have to move but DAL is looking pretty good right now.

Bottom line, is this. The biggest ‘liberal’, union loving group of wannabe socialist exists on social media. Hit now, hit hard ALPA, take the gloves off. The case can be made, do it.
