What about that is bad? Under your old PWA, United was better than DL. Not sure what it is today.

The rest is overblown. The potential QoL gains are big on reserve, lineholder rules at UAL were better than the old PWA, so those will be minor.

Then why are line holders constantly being reassigned with no additional compensation?? If it was so good for line holders, that would only happen rarely and they'd have to pay the hell out of them for ANY reassignment, even within the footprint.

That absolutely MUST be fixed (along w flex to swap and drop and SCR conversion limits) or it should be a resounding NO vote.

If Frontier and Spirit can have most of this, its inexcusable why UAL can't.

I haven’t been reassigned in over a year and when I was I got 50% overage for it. Constantly reassigned is an exaggeration. I’ll take more more money though, when it does happen for sure.

Maybe I’m just unlucky, but I was reassigned twice during my last pairing ended two days ago. Making things worse, I intentionally traded for the trip to make a family event…shame on me for planning ahead.

Then I’ve been ‘unlucky’ too. Reassigned on 2 of my last 3 pairings! Not worth the extra 30 minutes of pay to layover in cities I didn’t bid (or care to layover in).
Reassignments are definitely being used more now than ever before.

I have been reassigned on 4 of my last 5 pairings. And I am seriously getting sick and tired of it.

I’ve been warning people this was coming since I got here from Express. I’m usually met with extreme skepticism. “You’re paranoid” “that’ll never happen here” “it’s not a big deal they barely use it”.

it happened there and it will happen here. Many people here seem to have no idea how cutthroat a company will be when faced with the choice to cancel flights for staffing or not brutalize their pilot group. We would routinely get extended days outside of our original footprint. I once picked up a day trip turn and didn’t come home until three days later. No wx, no mx, just a company that couldn’t keep up their staffing.

just some food for thought, you can have your days off taken away due to a reassignment an infinite number of times here. They will absolutely rob Peter to pay Paul. They don’t care if that gets you pulled off a trip in two weeks, scheduling will begin to worry about the next day then eventually the next hour and they’ll burn everything down in their path to do so. This needs to be capped. Previous airline was no more than 10 times a year. The majority hit that cap.

sure, you get them back, but that doesn’t help when you miss little Suzy’s piano recital or Billy’s football game or that cruise you bought tickets for. Protection needs to be in the next contract.

Guess we don’t bid the same kind of trips. Pretty rare for the people I fly with as well.

I can count on all my lady parts the amount of times I’ve been reassigned while on a wide body international trip.

I’ve never gotten a refund from DALPA for what it’s worth. I have gotten a bill that I didn’t pay enough at the end of the year.

What are you flying and where? That probably makes a difference. Not only am I constantly getting reassigned within my original trips this is happening while I’m conducting OE and screwing over my students.

Im flying all kinds of trips on the A-320 out of Denver. Many are complaining of the same, if you’ve got a EWR/LGA in your trip you can almost count on a CF from the crew desk. It doesn’t really matter if I am getting reassigned and you aren’t, it’s happening more often and the crew desk is starting to make it a habit. If they’re going to be using reassignments as quick fix they need to be paying us handsomely for it. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want that?
