You don't believe doctors and scientists and now you don't believe lawyers working on your behalf advising the MEC? Who would you trust? I can guarantee you no one will be calling :insert screen name here: for their interpretation of a Miriam Webster definition.

One would hope that their fellow man would have the balls to say no to experimental medicine that causes heart damage, strokes, and blood clotting, not to mention pages of other issues. We wouldn't need some **** ant labor organization to be our spine. You people that willingly injected yourselves for 15 hours of pay really make poor decisions and then had the audacity to call us Grandma killers for not doing our civic duty. What a bunch of retards.

hilarious how someone gullible enough to believe mistruths and falsehoods has the audacity to unironically call the majority of his colleagues "a bunch of retards."

one would hope that their fellow man has the balls to not lose their minds in a histrionic panic based on unfounded paranoia and misinformation, but alas, that's too much to hope for

I also don't fear going back to the table and don't think we should (if that's the case) as that's a losing strategy in general. The pilot group (broad brush paint stroke) at every TA I've been through gets this fear of saying no...every time. Probably a combination of things but it's there. It's negotiation. Of course one needs to weigh all things including the time/value of money. The voters who don't read the TA, or any of the supporting material/shows/vids bother me more than someone who votes no for one item they feel strongly about. The forum is great to ferret out details and possible flaws. Not so great to read posts that simply try to bash others for having differing opinions.
Individuals? I completely agree. Reps? Not so much.

As the snowflake liberal big government cheerleader of the group, I do think the company got a little heavy-handed on the vax stuff. It’s far from a “make or break” issue for me, but it is for some people, & that’s fine. This is how democratic systems work. It’s the aggregate- not the individual- that determines outcomes.

Aside from that, the GUM thing is a legitimate concern, even if it doesn’t affect you directly, & there is a significant minority who are concerned about the 8-F-12 language. If you read the IAH letter, they requested a quick amendment to some of that language but there was not a procedural way to accomplish that so they voted no. There were more yes votes & the resolution passed. That’s not abuse of the system- that’s the system at work.

All that having been said, and supposing you are right that this really is all just about a single issue, I’d argue that there are a lot of single issue (Section 3) yes voters out there, but in the end, why does that matter? Everyone votes for what is most important to them & then we tally the votes.

No one who has raised concerns over this contract has in any way delayed the process. You won’t get your retro check any sooner if the dissenters stay silent, so I don’t see what harm is being done here.

Their decision to take this shot was and is retarded. If you still stand behind your choice you are an idiot. The language in this TA allows the UAL management to do it again. I don't care what the Government mandates. If the populace doesn't comply it doesn't mean anything. Everyone who justified their decision last time for whatever reason is partly part of the problem. I guess 15 hours of flight pay was just too much to pass up. Sad and pathetic that your well being is worth so little.

The 171 email was a total embarrassment. 2 reps pressured into voting no by a nearly 40 page unintelligible tirade written by a lunatic that somehow still has a job here despite several incidents that would cost most of us our career. Shameful. Fortunately the cult that follows along lock step is a tiny percentage of our group.
