This all seems a no-brainer to me. I'll give a hint, apply to all of them for starters.

Which of the two, specifically (UA, AA) have the best work rules?

It’s hard to say which of the two has the better work rules without knowing what you’re looking for.

Reserve may be better for a commuter at one company while an in-base line holder may have it better elsewhere.

Looking to make the jump to UA now that LAS is an option. Is it feasible to get LAS out of the gate? Really tired of commuting. Thank you

It is a junior base that had unfilled spots on the last vacancy bid.

No guarantee you get it out of indoc, but would give it really good chance of being there within 1-2 months after training as long as you can get the 737.

And, the reason it's a junior base is because the flying stinks! At last count, over 60 percent of trips were red eyes.

Florida

United or American if I live in East Coast FL? Currently near PBI about 1 hour from MIA but don't mind moving more north to be <2 from MCO. I have 35+ years before I'm 65. With the huge growth United plans on doing I assume they will pull in large profits. Could anyone see a legacy like American falling behind in 20+ years ? United wants to expand and loves international so any chance they make MCO an international gateway? American has MIA and Delta has ATL, United has nothing on the SE. Yes, I'm interested in wide-body flying.

MCO/TPA is not a hub for United, just a 737 pilot base. There are currently no plans to make it more than that. If you want to stay in FL AND never commute AND fly widebodies, MIA is the much surer bet.

AA has better commuter and reserve rules.
UAL has better DH rules.
UAL seems to have better Line holder rules.
Both have garbage trip trade drop rules.
