That may pick up over summer but for the most part the reserves are usually so stacked that as long as you pick up one SC at the beginning of your silo you can put yourself low enough in FIFO to not get assigned any more than one or two days of SC. Very rarely see any SCs for those in 2 or 1 day Silos, and I think 3 total FSBs in my time here. YMMV but for the most part it’s the best deal at United by far.. as far as reserve goes!
WRT reserve, remember, living in domicle can be a pretty good life. Commuting to reserve can be problematic at best, but especially in SFO right now with 28L closed till June, a nightmare.

I saw my my first FSB posted in open time last week, been here 10 months 787 SFO. I'm sure there have been others that I just didn't see, I guess they are out there.

Widebody FSB is not very useful. You are burning duty day every minute.

I suppose you could do a FSB for the late night international departure bank in SFO, one FSB could cover 5 or 6 late departures. Commutes in to SFO have been caotic with the winter weather and 28L closed.

Indeed. It seems like the C/S19 Short Calls cover the SIN/BNE/CHC dpartures most nights, I was curious as to why that FSB popped up when it did. Coverage looked the same to me that particular day.

Another FO and I got converted off a SC to FSB for a flight that was delayed and the crew timed out. Guess they didn’t have a CA on SC as a LH showed up with 100%PP. I don’t know why they just didn’t assign us the trip, we got and extra 3 hrs add pay for the FSB when we were already on SC.
