Don’t have it available but if I remember correct I think effective date is 7/31 (or is it 6/31). Nevertheless, for a simple base transfer is that effective date valid still. Coulda sworn I read something in the vacancy that base transfers could be effective earlier.

Also, if you’re going from a base with high need in your fleet and seat and lots of vacancies (like IAH, EWR, SFO just as examples only) to a base with low need, plan on it being closer to the 6 month mark. If you get there earlier it’ll be a nice surprise. Better to be pleasantly surprised than disappointed.

From: 18%er but I’ll enforce UPA23 to the last period.
Something for you new guys to keep in mind if you bid something and it takes a long time to get activated you may have displacement rights. In that event you can displace into the seat you bid and lift and freeze incurred. Example, if you've bid something that incurs a freeze and you don't get activated within the UPA timeframe (too lazy to look up exactly what it is right now but it's something like 3 bid periods after the effective date of the vacancy) you can exercise displacement rights. So say you decided to go NBFO to WBFO. You haven't activated your WBFO bid by the magic day. You can displace into your own WBFO bid and not have a freeze. Beneficial if you get there and realize "this ain't for me" you could bid back out to NBFO if you wanted. You would now incur a freeze bidding back but you wouldn't be stuck on WBFO if that's where you decided you didn't really want to be after giving it a shot.
