no the parts don’t know, and I am not saying either perspective is right/wrong but while the parts don’t know any of those things, it’s still human beings that maintain them so is a human component that could be related. However, unless there is actual data showing the demographics of everyone that touched any part of an Airplane, it’s a weak argument.

race isn’t the only component to DEI. That indivudual was a former FA, if it’s the one I’m thinking of. And from what the “rumors” had to say…..wasn’t exactly a stellar record to fall back on. I’m absolutely not saying DEI or the orientation of a pilot has jack $hizz to do with their abilities…..but you should pick a different example.

Cant speak to the ones that touched the airplanes, as UAL has mx done, quite literally all over the globe. The 777 that popped a hydraulic line in SYD could’ve been serviced by anyone from the Boeing assembly line to any of the dozens of countries it’s spent the night in.

As to the pilots that were flying them, all recovered safely with zero bent metal or boo boos… so you’re right, the airplane doesn’t GAS about the demographics of the pilots leading to all those successful outcomes.

It looks like the company and probably ALPA have been out cleaning up the media. The front page stories of loss of certifications for pilots and the inability to fly new airplanes and routes have been removed. The leading stories simply say “increased FAA oversight”.

all the other garbage the C150 spewed has been removed from the story.

If they are referring to the 757 hard landing in Newark, then yes you are correct.

Wrong one. You are referring to the more recent example.

It almost seems like the FAA leaked what could be done to increase oversight, not what actually will get enacted - and that is what some people took as gospel and reported.

ALPA has a responsibility to be out there and be our voice in this. The media controls the narrative and we are doing nothing internally amongst our membership to change than narrative. Nor are we sending someone out to talk to the media. APA sends Dennis Tajer out for everything and they are a participant in the discussion. LP should be advising AW to not only issue a comm but to also have someone on all the talk shows who can hit out talking points and not allow the media to make us look like fools. Yet here we are. 1044 on Monday morning and not a word….
