What doesn't the company like about what we can do to our schedule? I think they like having a green matrix. Pilots certainly do, trip drops approved, trades approved etc, etc. If they didn't like it then they wouldn't approve the drops.

Fact! I took a peak at reserve utilization in a couple bases, saw a few 0/0. Zero short calls and zero hours.

Oh we'll be getting paid (empty lines). I saw the empty line offering and busted out in an Irish step dance! We'll just be living the river boat gambler life style, betting a trip/trips will become available. I hope it's offered next month too!😎

25 empty lines out of 17000 pilots (or however many we have). probably file ch11 next week.

This could just be the beginning, we really don't know right now. I am a frugal guy and have already cut my expenses further. No second houses or airplane purchases for me, too poor. My backup job is sort of still there, so we'll see how things turn out.

Thoughts on whether vacancies will continue to run monthly?

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some SRLs. C’mon, baby!

The cola/empty line etc offerenings are >90% FO
The ~200 pilots retiring in the next six month are >90% captains

Even if hiring stops, they still need people to upgrade - which points towards continued vacancy postings.

Just sharing my honest opinion and fears, just like we do amongst each other in the flight deck. I am not as financially established as some of you and thus am a bit more concerned.
